Martin Suite

We were fortunate to have access to Martin Suite for its location and comfort. Should we need temporary housing again in C'ville our first choice will be Martin Suite

This is a beautiful apartment, well maintained, with wonderful hosts.

The large one bedroom apartment overlooks the Blue Hills. It is beautifully appointed, in excellent condition, very well kept and a delight in which to stay. The hosts, Dianne and Rich, are friendly, helpful and allow the renter totally privacy while being available and accessible when needed. It is a place that gives one a sense of peace and wellbeing while offering an exciting and wonderful city and university to enjoy.

We moved across the country in August and have had to wait to move into a new home. I stayed in the Martin Suite alone for over a month then my husband joined me. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect place to go. It’s in a great location with lovely views. The place itself is so cute and comfortable. The furniture and just overall feel of the little apartment is cozy yet clean, comfortable and open. The kitchen may look small and simple in the photos but it’s very functional and has everything you need.

As for the host, Dianne, she and her husband are very nice (but definitely give you your space), quick to respond to messages, and were very accommodating to our unique needs. We had to leave in the middle of our stay because we extended our stay, knowing in advance that they had one weekend we would have to leave for weekend renters, and they were helpful and accommodating with that as well.

The house, host, location and feel of the Martin Suite were warm and inviting. We were sad to leave but are happy somebody new is able to enjoy it now. I would highly recommend it.

The Martin Suite was absolutely perfect for my 6-week extended stay. The location is convenient to UVA, but far enough away that it's private and quiet.

This is a lovely accommodation that was perfect for my needs as a visiting scholar at UVA. it is just five miles from the Rotunda, but in a buccolic setting that feels far removed from the city. It is a quiet, comfortable, convenient, and very aesthetically pleasing place to stay. Can't recommend it (or the lovely and warm host-owners) enough. I hate to leave!

I truly enjoyed my time in the Martin Suite. The apartment was well-furnished and well-supplied, with beautiful furnishings and a welcoming fireplace. Easy access to a washer and dryer. The owners went above and beyond in making sure I was comfortable. They were also very respectful of my privacy. The location was just a few minutes (by car) from UVA, Barracks Road, UV Hospitals, and grocery shopping. The view from the apartment was beautiful -- very relaxing.

We really enjoyed our time here as a traveling nurse. It is 5 minutes from the UVA Transitional Care hospital and just a short drive from all the restaurants and fun Charlottesville has to offer. Makes a great long-term stay.

I'm a travel nurse, so i stayed here for 3 months. Guesthouses was fantastic in helping me find something that would fit my needs during that time, and Dianne and Rich were just fantastic hosts. Always very kind and friendly. They did everything they could to make sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed. The apartment is beautiful and cozy. The perfect size for one or two people and very dog friendly.

A cozy, inviting, spacious retreat dropped in the middle of a beautifully landscaped lot with gorgeous mountain views. Everything you need is included and Rich and Dianne are gracious hosts. We keep coming back!
