Jeff Studio 301

This space is adorable. Like a little cubby hole overlooking the Mall. It is very small, and there is no desk for working, but it was perfect for what I needed.

Very enjoyable stay. Comfortable bed; plenty of hot water; quiet inside the building and heard no noise from the pedestrian mall despite it being busy.

We stayed here for 1 night to see a show at the Southern. Perfect walking distance to the southern as well as many shops and restaurants! We loved the hotel! It was clean, great check-in instructions, parking was easy too! We wished we would have stayed longer and will absolutely stay again on our next trip to Charlottesville.

we just completed our second stay. everything was great. can't wait to come back in January!

Great place in fabulous location especially for all the restaurants and nightlife around the Charlottesville mall area.

Room was spotless - bed very comfortable. I did not use the sound/music/electronics etc. I did not get what the switch was for next to the bed - perhaps instructions would be useful. But check-in was a breeze and the room was perfect. The parking instructions were very detailed and worked well. Would totally stay there again.

Great location for any event on the mall or downtown area. Convenient to theaters and restaurants. All info on the hotel and property was complete and accurate. Excellent directions and instructions for parking and access to the property. Will definitely consider the Jeff for our next trip to Charlottesville!

Great location. Smack in the the middle of the pedestrian mall. We came in for a show at Ting Pavilion. We parked our car around the corner and checked ourselves in. Tons of restaurants within walking distance along with the venue a couple blocks down. The room is chic, with great bedding and accessories. Our only issue was no ice or mini fridge in the studio. I understand the suites are larger and may have a fridge. Next time thats what we’ll book, and we will be back!

My daughter and I were in Charlottesville for one night only for a UVA tour. We loved the well-appointed room with comfy bedding and a a nice bathroom with a large shower. The location was amazing. We had a lovely dinner outside on the downtown mall at Bizou, then caught a movie just steps away. Before our morning tour, we grabbed an iced coffee and a pastry before heading to campus. The one thing that we both agreed was missing? Ice. I know that is challenging to provide in a building of Jeff's age... We plan on staying at the Jeff Hotel on our next visit to Charlottesville!

Thank you for your feedback; we're so glad you were able to experience all that downtown has to offer! You are exactly right about the challenges of an older building. We have been working with the experts to install a water and ice machine and plan to do so as soon as we can finalize the logistics.

Great reuse of space and room was comfortable, clean and very nice. Will go back!

Perfect hideaway in the middle of it all!

The room is small (but spacious bathroom), simple and wonderful! It looks out on the mall and is center to a vast array of eating options. The room was clean, bed comfortable, and couldn't have been happier.

We absolutely loved everything about our stay at the Jeff Hotel. You cannot beat the location, overlooking the mall and a quick step to restaurants, breweries, stores and the Farmer's Market. The room is perfect, impeccably decorated with a very comfortable bed, large television, modern bathroom and plush towels. The two complimentary parking passes were a bonus adding to the convenience of our stay. We come from Massachusetts to visit our student at UVA several times a year and we agreed the Jeff Hotel will be our go to every time from now on.

Short one night stay but so pleasant and seamless. Such a cute place and perfect to explore downtown Charlottesville. Great style!

Really lovely space and location! Overall it was a great spot! Unfortunately the neighbors were partying late into the night and the sound proofness of the room was not enough to keep out the noise. Would also have liked a set of utensils.

The hotel is right on the downtown mall, close to everything. It was very quiet, despite their being a show in the theater downstairs. I would definitely return.

Awesome property in the heart of Charlottesville. We loved that it's located above the Jefferson theater, close to shops, bars, and restaurants. The room was very fresh, well styled, and comfortable. Although we only stayed one night, it was definitely a great experience. Only negatives are lugging bags up the steep stairs, and that parking is 1/2 a block away. Will definitely recommend. Thank you again for accepting our last minute booking.

My jaw literally dropped when I checked in to the Jeff Hotel. This place is incredibly cool and absolutely gorgeous. The room is straight out of Elle Decor; every piece was picked with intention and curated in a playful style. The stairwell and hallways are lined with fresh modern art and light fixtures, which neatly juxtaposes the turn-of-the-century architecture. My room (301) had an oversized window looking down on the Mall which was fun for people-watching. Loved the Marshall speaker and TV preloaded with smart apps, and the pillows/ bedding were super comfortable! Check-in was insanely easy, and the communication from the hotel leading up to the stay was thorough and helpful. My only suggestion would be to add a mini fridge for drinks and leftovers. Overall this place was such a gem and I've already booked my stay for next April. Thanks for making the process so seamless.

Only complaint was the really loud drunk girl who seemed to have trouble walking up the steps at 2:30 am. Otherwise, the place was perfect. Awesome location and a well-appointed room. Would stay there again.

Very nice. If you want to enjoy the surprisingly lively buzz on Charlottesville's excellent downtown pedestrian mall on a weekend or just have a good coffee shop and fine bookstores within 50 feet, the Jeff Hotel is the perfect location. It's directly on the mall itself, with rooms tucked in above a theater. Not really a hotel -- halfway between a private rental and a hotel, so no concierge, no help with bags, no food. And steep stairs are involved, so travel light. But we knew all that and loved the cute room, the double-glazed windows that kept it quiet, and definitely the location. We parked our car in a nearby garage (voucher provided) and never got in it again until we left Charlottesville. One caveat: not sure how the sound-proofing works when there is live music in the theater below...

Our stay at the Jeff was first class comfort and ease. The room was spotlessly clean. Check-in was easy and the bed and shower were luxurious. So fun to be on the pedestrian mall.
