Ramsay Farmhouse (Whole House)

House was wonderful.

This property was amazing and surpassed all of our expectations! Matt was wonderful and helped us feel right at home. The house was well stocked and the kids loved the chickens & cows. We were all sad to leave and will definitely come back! The only feedback I would give is that it was tough not having a living room. I think if one of the bedrooms upstairs was converted to a bunk room (w/ 2 sets of bunk beds) so that the front bedroom off the kitchen was a living room, it would have been perfect.

The Ramsay Farmhouse exceeded our expectations. Upon arrival, we were pleasantly surprised by the location and beauty of the estate. The property was extremely clean and well appointed top to bottom. We had everything we needed as a group of four couples. The renovation was done with high end finishes in all rooms, common areas and wet rooms. The bedding was very comfortable as well. We cannot say enough great things about this property and will definitely book here again! Communication about check in/ check out was quick and responsive. Don't hesitate if you are thinking about booking a mountain retreat that’s local to the best wineries in VA.

We absolutely LOVED the Ramsay Farmhouse! It is better than advertised and the photos simply do not do it justice. The kids loved the chickens and cows and the view of the vineyards and mountains is hard to beat.

This was an absolutely top-notch experience. Everything was done well - the hosts were very accomodating and responsive. High quality all-around, from the property and the views, to the sheets & linens, comfortable beds, great water pressure. The home is updated and the property is absolutely stunning, great property walks and fun to see the roosters and cows. We didn't come during wine season but hope to be back! Thank you for creating such an ideal gathering space for our family over the Thanksgiving holiday - we are all contemplating how to make this an annual tradition. A special thanks to Matt for being so attentive - 10/10! The ONLY thing worth noting is that indoor gathering space is limited to the kitchen, no official living room when all rooms are occupied but it was a gorgeous weekend so we lucked out with being able to be outside by the firepit, which came with ample wood! Thank you again!

The Farmhouse is located in a beautiful vineyard with stunning views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The house has been recently updated and includes 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, and 2 kitchens. The beds were very comfortable and the house was clean. The owner left us some muffins, coffee, milk and orange juice that was a nice touch. My family enjoyed the location which was 20 minutes to Charlottesville and 10 minutes from many vineyards. The only downside to the property is that there is no suitable indoor space to congregate as a family. The larger of the two kitchens has two comfortable chairs and an oversized dining table with 4 tall bar stools. It would have been better if they had a couch and 2 chairs and a smaller dining table. This adjustment would make it more comfortable to gather. Apart from that suggestion, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Ramsey Farmhouse.

The Farmhouse on the Ramsay Estate is a very tidy and lovely rental home equipped with everything you need to have a relaxed and cozy stay. The beds are comfy, and all the bathrooms were sparkling clean. I loved the main kitchen (there are two kitchens!) and the seating area on the porch – both of which have spectacular views of the Blueridge mountains. The estate is lovely to explore, and the house is a quick drive to Crozet and also to the many breweries and wineries of 151. It's also an easy drive to Charlottesville or Waynesboro. Communication with the host was easy, and they were available if we needed anything. If you're visiting the area I highly recommend!
