Townsman: Faulkner

A truly wonderful find on the Charlottesville Downtown Mall! The Townsman's Faulkner room was exactly what we needed for a quick getaway while attending a concert at JPJ. The location is fantastic, putting us right in the middle of all the action and perfect for attending local events. The room itself was clean, bright, and incredibly comfortable. We loved the proximity to shopping, dining, and especially the superb coffee at Mudhouse right next door! This place is a gem. We will absolutely look to stay here again!

The room was clean and well furnished. The location was perfect. The staff of the company that manages the property were wonderful. We had some trouble finding the parking lot and with our door code. I called several times after hours and the call was always answered quickly. The only negative about this hotel was the parking spot was small and our full sized pick up truck barely fit- but it did fit! We would definitely use this place again

Absolutely wonderful stay in the Faulkner room. Love the ironing board combo piece on the wall. The room was quiet and comfortable and very very clean. Be prepared to climb up two flights of stairs with your luggage. Instructions to enter were clear and concise and arrived in a timely fashion and communication throughout our stay was spot on. The only comment would be that the neighbor on one side had a very loud television or radio that was quite audible when we were in the bathroom, but we couldn’t hear when we were just in the room. The view from the Faulkner room is nothing to write home about, but we were not in the room very much so it did not affect us. One suggestion would be to put a few more coffee pods in the room. The sheets and towels were very nice.

On the mall in Charlottesville. Easy walk to restaurants. I have stayed in 3 of the 4 rooms. Each has been comfortable. Everything was clean. The bathrooms have sufficient counter space and shower has good water pressure. A great place to stay if you don’t need the services a traditional hotel offers.
