Ivy Cottages includes five fully furnished, standalone cottages, each with its own character and layout. Together, the cottages provide an ideal balance of shared proximity and private space for groups who want to stay together without sharing a single home. Each cottage has its own entrance and private living space, making this an excellent option for families, friends, or wedding guests who value both comfort and independence.
Ivy Cottages is located in the Ivy neighborhood, just west of Charlottesville. Guests enjoy quick access to wineries, wedding venues, hiking, and dining, while being only a short drive to downtown Charlottesville and the University of Virginia. The setting feels peaceful and tucked away while remaining close to everything the area has to offer.
The cottages include:
Cornwall: king sized bed, living room with pull-out queen sofa, and updated kitchen with gas range
Hampshire: king sized bed, living room with vaulted ceilings and pull-out queen sofa, and dining table for 4
Devon: king sized bed, living room with pull-out queen sofa, and a small back patio with a bistro set
Somerset: queen sized bed, living room with vaulted ceilings and pull-out queen sofa, large closet, and screened back patio
Kent: queen sized bed, charming cottage kitchen with 4-person table, and back patio with porch swing (note: shower opens to bedroom)
Guests will have private access to all five cottages and shared outdoor areas on the property. Each cottage is separate and fully self-contained. The main house on the property is currently under renovation and is not accessible to guests. It is expected to be available for events and accommodations in late 2026. Ivy Cottages is an evolving property, and construction related to the main house renovation may be ongoing during your stay. All construction work is limited to weekdays between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, and we have coordinated efforts to minimize disruption. We appreciate your understanding as we work toward completing the full vision for Ivy Cottages.
